Our shule, the Young Israel of Los angeles, is working on a project to upgrade our premises to offer an Affordable venue for Simchos like Weddings and Bar Mitzvot for a nominal fee since the costs of such events have skyrocketed and are often out of reach of most families in LA. LA lacks the affordable venues that are common on the east coast. We have no mortgage or rent and we've already updated the shule and beis midrash as an open flex space to accommodate 300 people. We are conducting a fundraising effort to construct a state of the art kitchen towards this goal. We are reaching out to all of the LA Jewish community to help us raise the 180,000 to make this happen. If you can help us and get the word out to other Baalei Tzedakah in LA we would greatly appreciate it.
